Born November 11, 1966 in Dublin, Ireland. She was brought up in a wealthy family and was the youngest of three children. She was educated at a monastery. Alison later studied at the National College of Art in Dublin, but having lost interest, she left him and became interested in modeling. Since 1985 he has been acting in films. After starring in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, she became a representative of the cosmetics company L'Oreal.
Director Peter Jackson personally offered her the role of Eowyn in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, but she turned it down due to her pregnancy.
From 1995 to 2003, Alison did not act in films.
