Born on March 2, 1932 in the village of Degtyarnoe, Kharkiv region. Graduated from the acting department of the Kharkov Theater Institute (1953) .
In 1953-1954 - an actor of the Kharkiv Ukrainian Drama Theater named after T.G. Shevchenko, from 1957 - an actor of the Theater-Studio of Film Actor at the Kiev Film Studio named after A. Dovzhenko.
He taught at the Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Art. I. Karpenko-Kary. In cinema since 1955.
