Born 1964 in Madison, Connecticut, USA.
Before starting his film career, he studied at Bowdoin College, studying anthropology and Russian. Then he went to London to complete his film education before returning to Boston.
He made his film debut as the director of the movie "Planet of Frankenstein's Monsters!" (1995) .
Other works by Anderson include films such as "Next Stop - Wonderland" (1998), "Happy Accidents" (2000), "Ninth Session" (2001), "The Machinist" (2004), "Trans-Siberian Express" (2008), " The Disappearance on 7th Street (2010) and others.
