One of the first graduates of the Faculty of Journalism at Kiev University. He began his career as an executive secretary of a large-circulation newspaper of the whaling flotilla "Slava", then "Soviet Ukraine". After the triumphant success of the film "Young Years", he married his partner in the film, Svetlana Zhivankova. The marriage quickly disintegrated, he left the cinema and worked on Ukrainian radio until his retirement. Passed away.
