Soviet theater and film actor, director.
In 1926 he graduated from CETETIS.
In 1926-1941 he was an actor and director of the Moscow Lensovet Theater.
In 1943-1945 he was an actor and director of the Moscow Satire Theater.
From 1946 to 1963 he was an actor and chief director of the Moscow Drama and Comedy Theater.
After the reorganization of the theater in 1964, after the arrival of Yuri Lyubimov, A.K. Plotnikov took the position of chief director of the Main editorial office of the literary and dramatic broadcasting of the All-Union Radio.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1954) .
The actor was buried in Moscow at the Preobrazhensky cemetery.
