Honored Artist (1969).
After graduating from the Moscow College of Fine Arts "In Memory of 1905" in 1930, he worked as an animator at the Soyuzkino, Soyuztekhfilm, and Voenfilm film studios. In 1932 he took part in the activities of the Soyuzkinokhroniki film train. Since 1936 - at the Soyuzmultfilm studio, since 1938 - director. Created cartoon films, initially with L.A. Almaric.
During the Great Patriotic War he worked at the Voentekhfilm studio, in 1964 he returned to Soyuzmultfilm, where he continued his collaboration with L. A. Almarik, and since 1954 with A. G. Snezhko-Blotskaya. From 1956 he worked independently.
Passed away on August 21, 1982 in Moscow, USSR.
