September 20, 1918 - July 17, 1999 - Soviet director-animator, cartoonist.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. In January 1944 - May 1945 - 120-mm mortar loader and shooter of the 1234th Infantry Regiment. He fought on the 1st Belorussian Front. Participated in the Lublin-Brest, Warsaw-Poznan and Berlin operations. On February 17, 1945 he was wounded and for some time was being treated in a hospital.
After the war, I. Aksenchuk was demobilized as an officer.
From 1946 to 1948 he studied at the courses of animators at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. Upon graduation, he began to work as an animator, then as an assistant director for Alexander Ivanov and Evgeny Migunov, and since 1953 - as a director.
He worked in classical drawing technology. Filmed fairy tales of different peoples, in particular: Romanian "Nut twig" (1955), Uzbek - "Aist" (1956), Italian - "Boy from Naples" .
In addition to wonderful children's cartoons, he created social "poster films": for the anniversary of the revolution - "Our Sun", about the first flight into human space - "Glory to you, heavenly brothers!", About the anniversary of GOELRO - "Plus electrification" and others. He made cartoons for the satirical newsreel "Fitil".
