In 1925, the famous opera singer Elizaveta Chavdar was born. The future singer was born in Odessa, in a working-class family. After leaving school, she chooses a specialty - philology, and enters the university. But then fate intervened, she accidentally meets a professor at the conservatory and radically changes her life path. In 1944 he entered the Odessa Conservatory. The girl had not studied music before, so she had to work long and hard to master all the knowledge.
Graduated from the Conservatory with honors in 1948. As part of the best graduates of the conservatories of Ukraine, she gives a concert, after which she is invited to work at the Kiev Opera House. The management of the opera house made the right decision by inviting such a young singer. Her voice possessed charm, grace and perfection of performance, and Elizabeth also had a unique timbre. Very soon the whole country knew the young singer. Elizaveta became popular outside the USSR. She successfully toured with concerts in Yugoslavia, Hungary, Poland, East Germany, Sweden. In the 1950s, Elizaveta quickly became the most popular opera singer, her songs were considered the standard.
On the stage of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theater she got the leading roles, the roles of Elizaveta Chavdar performed in the performances: Rigoletto, The Barber of Seville, La Traviata, Ruslan and Lyudmila, Taras Bulba, Ivan Susanin. The star's repertoire also included romances by Ukrainian authors.
At the end of her theatrical career, Elizaveta Chavdar begins teaching at the Kiev Conservatory, for over 10 years she headed the department of solo singing. She has learned more than one generation of talented singers.
