For many years he worked under the guidance of his teacher N.I. Sobolshchikova-Samarin in theaters in Odessa (1916-1923), Kiev
(1923-1925), Simferopol (1930-1933), the Volga region, Gorky.
In 1934-1937 he was an actor at the Gorky Drama Theater.
In 1939-1950 he was an artist of the Kiev Russian Theater named after Lesia Ukrainka.
