Born December 29, 1946, Hampstead, London - British singer, musician and actress.
At birth, she was given the full name of Marian Evelyn Faithfull. Father, Major Robert Glenn Faithfull, was a British officer and college professor, mother - Eva von Sacher-Masoch, Baroness Erisso, comes from the Habsburg dynasty and has Jewish roots. Mother was once a ballerina and worked with Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weil. On the maternal side, Faithfull has a famous relative, great-uncle Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, from whose name the word "masochism" was formed .

Faithfull became known back in the 1960s in Europe and the United States as a pop singer. She began her musical career in 1964 with the song "As Tears Go By" by the Rolling Stones.
