Uldis Vazdiks was born just before the war - in 1941, so his childhood years were far from the brightest. Father Hermanis Vazdiks and mother Vilma Lasmane were actors. Sister Ilze chose the acting future, and Uldis himself did not even think about another profession.
The young man showed excellent musical talent early on, which allowed him to study at the Latvian State Conservatory at the theater faculty, but a year after he entered the Dailes theater, where his parents and sister played. There he studies in the third studio - Peteris Petersons becomes his teacher, graduates in 1962 and remains to work there. Critics will also note the undoubted success of the films Mirage (1983), Klav - the son of Klava (1970), Servants of the Devil in the Devil's Mill (1972), Doublet (1992) and Terrible Summer (2000).
The talented film and theater actor Uldis Vazdiks will die in 2006. The place where he will be buried will be a chapel at the Baltezersky cemetery.
