Peter Benedict, son of two actors Walter Riess and Christa Rossenbach. Benedict was born in Switzerland, raised in Berlin.
He studied acting and directing at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and then at the Konrad Wolff Film and Television Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Under his real name, he worked in the 1990s in various fields of film and television behind the camera, among others, as assistant director to Egon Gunther. In 2000, his television career began as an actor.
Peter Benedict lives in France and Berlin.
