Herbert Fritsch is a German actor, director and media artist.
Herbert Fritsch received his dramatic training at the Otto-Falkenberg-Schule in Munich. He then played in several large stages at home and abroad.
In parallel, Fritsch works as a media artist. For example, he has developed a photographic method for 3D analog distortion, which is patented, and shows several exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland with photographs and computer animation. He also began working with feature films as early as the 1980s.
Since his departure from Volksbuhn, Fritsch has directed various German theaters such as the New Theater Hall, the Oberhausen Theater, the Hess State Theater in Wiesbaden and the Leipzig Show.
He lives in Berlin.
