Born February 23, 1964, Vardo, Norway - Swedish hard rock guitarist and one of the founders of the Swedish band Europe. While working with Europe, he also creates his own solo project. During his career, Norum played with Eddie Medusa, Dokken, Don Dokken, and also collaborated with Glen Hughes. For several years he lived in the USA, where he met, and later married, Michelle Meldrum, the founder and guitarist of the Swedish-American heavy metal band Meldrum. In September 2004, they had a son, Jake Thomas. Michelle died on May 21, 2008 due to a cyst growing in her brain. John Norum is the older brother of singer Tony Norum.
