Born in Australia.
She started as a television reporter. As an editing assistant, she has worked on such films as "Layer Cake" (2004) by Matthew Vaughn, "Beyond the Game" starring Mike Sheen and "Scandalous Diary" (2006) by Richard Eyre.
In 2005 she received the British Academy Award (BAFTA) in the nomination "Best Short Film" for the black comedy "Sperm Bank" (2004). This film was an international success and was recognized at more than 50 film festivals around the world.
Hattie Dalton has directed several other prize-winning short films, as well as documentaries (for the BBC and Greenpeace) and commercials.
The Third Star (2010) is her debut feature film.
