In the distant summer of 1984, producers Karin Hartman and Tony Hendrick decided to replace their A la carte wards, who have exhausted their creative potential, with something new, preferably of the opposite sex. So, by chance, Trevor Oliver Taylor, John Edward McInerney and Andrew Freddie Thomas gathered together in Cologne and called themselves Bad Boys Blue. In September, the first track Love In My Car was released, with Thomas as the lead vocalist. A furor happened with the group in the spring of 1985, when the single You're A Woman was released, which later became a leader in many top lists. Already in November 1985, the first mini-album of the "guys in blue" Hot Girls Bad Boys was released, in which Taylor performed almost all the main parts. This record made them popular and put them on a par with the cult group Modern Talking.

In 1988 another disc of the group My Blue World was released, raising the guys to the peak of popularity. Edward McInerney becomes the leader of Bad Boys Blue, and several songs hit the top lines of the charts at once, of which the famous Love Don't Come Easy performed by Thomas Taylor did not stop for a long time on all radio stations. After the release of the song, Thomas left the group and took up a solo career, his place was taken by Trevor Bannister, who never became a full-fledged member of the team. The golden time for the guys lasted until 1992. During this period, three more good albums were released, and the world learned what a new direction in Eurodance music is. The most spectacular was Totally (1992), thought out to the smallest detail. Then there were chaotic discs with numerous replays of old material. 1994 brought a new work To Blue Horizons, released by Intercord studio, already with new producer Holger Muller. A huge number of authors have worked on this album, and for good reason, and the group itself became a duet without Bannister. In 1995, a film with Bad Boys Blue about their life, work and future plans was released, directed by K. Kotelnikov in Cologne. A year later, Mo Russell appeared in the group and another disc Bang! Bang! Bang!

In 1998 the band returned to their former producers and continued their journey brightly with the album ... Continued (1999) and new member Kevin McCoy, who replaced Russell, who left in 2000 for the drama theater. In 2003, producers Karin and Tony left the band for the second time, and the trio became a duo without Kevin, which did not prevent them from releasing the album Around The World, the compositions of which again stayed in the TOP for weeks. The lead song was a single with frantic energy Join The Bad Boys Blue. In 2006, Carlos Ferreira joined the team. In subsequent years, the group expected several more albums with re-recordings, re-releases, song mixes, cover versions of the most successful compositions. In late 2011, John McInerney canceled his contract with his teammates. Bad Boys Blue hasn't made fans happy with new works for several years now, this is due to the fact that the official lineup now includes only McInerney, and this is no longer quite a group.
