Laurent Kante - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born in 1961 into a family of school teachers. Graduated from the prestigious French film school IDHEC.
He was engaged in the filming of short films as a director and cameraman. For his first short film, Tous a la manif, Kante received the Jean Vigo Prize. Kante's full-length debut was successful - the film "Human Resources", which brought the director "Cesar" for the best debut and prizes of several international film festivals.
Kante became widely known for the film Class (2008) based on the novel by Francois Bejudeau. The film won the Palme d'Or, the main prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
