Born on August 17, 1961.
He graduated with a degree in process engineering.
1985 to 1987 worked as a set designer at the Mosfilm film studio.
1987 to 1989 continued to work at the film studio, acting as deputy director of films, and in 1989 became director of films.
Since 1994, he headed the Krug film studio of the Mosfilm film concern.
In 1995 he became the executive director of the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).
From 1999 to 2006 - General Director of the Moscow International Film Festival.
Since 1997 he has been the head of the Interfest company. Producer of the Russian Film Weeks in New York (2001-2008), Paris (since 2003) and Berlin (since 2005). He headed the International Festival of Producer Films "Kino-Yalta", from 2007 to 2009 - General Producer of the International Festival of Contemporary Cinema "ZAVTRA / 2morrow", since 2010 - General Producer of the International Film Festival "2-in-1". Since 2009 - President of the Guild of Producers of Russia, Vice-President of the International Association of Producers Guilds (FIAPF) from Europe (re-elected in 2011)
