The singer, songwriter and guitarist, and Dave Stewart, the guitarist for the folk rock band Longdancer, ran into Scottish singer Annie Lennox, who was studying flute and keyboard at the Royal Academy of Music. The Catch emerged, releasing the only single, "Borderline" in 1977 on Logo Records, which failed the charts.
