Shaukat Biktemirov was born at the end of October 1928 in the small village of Minger, which is located in the Sabinsky district of Tatarstan. He graduated from seven classes in the village of Timirshik, and then, as was expected in those days, he did collective farm work for a short time. In 1945 he entered the theater school of Kazan. After successful graduation, he began to work at the Tatar Academic Theater. He has played more than a hundred of the most diverse roles. The play Topolek in a red scarf, in which he played one of the leading characters, was significant for his creative career. For participation in this production, he became a winner of the national prize. G. Tukay. In 1960 he received the title of Honored Artist of the Tatarstan Republic. After 8 years he became People's Artist of Tatarstan, in 1970 - the RSFSR. Finally, in 1977 he received the long-awaited recognition of the entire Soviet Union, becoming a national artist of the USSR.
