1950 - graduated from the directing department of the Yerevan Theater and Art Institute, was a director at the Yerevan Academic Theater named after G. Sundukyan.
Since 1957 - at the Mosfilm film studio
Author of advertising films and plots for the "Fitil" newsreel. Director's assistant on Romm's film Nine Days in One Year .
He worked on the radio. His radio performance of the 1966 recording "An Incident in the Gasoline City" based on Shukshin's story "Grinka Malyugin" has survived.
