Soviet statesman Fyodor Petrov was born in Moscow in 1876. A physician by training, since 1896 he became a Social Democrat, since 1903 he joined the Bolshevik Party. He was engaged in party work in Poland, in 1905 he took an active part in the uprising in Kiev, was persecuted for political reasons by the power of the Russian Empire. He also studied the history of science and the party, wrote works about Lenin, memoirs about the history of the party, articles on museology, the development of culture in the USSR.
