December 25, 1899, New York, USA - January 14, 1957, Los Angeles, USA - American actor. Bogart was named Best Actor in American Film History by the American Film Institute.

After changing several occupations, Bogart became an actor in 1921, and in the 1920s-1930s he participated in Broadway productions. When the stock market crash of 1929 hit, Bogart came to the cinema. His first big success was in Petrified Forest (1936), after which he starred in gangster films including Angels with Dirty Faces (1938) and Category B films like The Return of Doctor X (1939) ...

A career turning point came in 1941 with the release of The High Sierra and The Maltese Falcon. "Casablanca" was the pinnacle of his career and consolidated his cynical image, who in the end reveals his nobility. Other successful films followed, including To Have and Not to Have (1944), Deep Sleep, Black Stripe (1947) and Key Largo (1948), in which he co-starred with Lauren Bacall; Treasures of the Sierra Madre (1948); "African Queen" (1951), which brought him an Oscar; "Sabrina" and "Riot on the Kane" (1954).

His last screening was The Harder the Fall (1956). In just over 30 years of his film career, Bogart has appeared in 75 feature films.
