Born April 4, 1957, Gustrow, Germany - German theater and film actor.
After graduating from high school, he entered the University of Music and Theater in Rostock. Since 1981 he began to play on the stage of the Theater for a young audience. From 1984 to 1988 he played on the stage of the Altmark Theater.
In 2003, Peter played a small role in Wolfgang Becker's dramatic comedy Good Bye Lenin! which was shown at many film festivals around the world.
In 2015, Kurt played the role of Herbert in Thomas Stuber's Herbert, for which he was awarded the German Film Award and the German Actors Award.
In 2016, the actor starred in the German-Russian historical drama by Andrei Konchalovsky "Paradise". The film was longlisted for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. In addition, the painting was awarded the Golden Eagle Prize and the Nika Prize.
In 2018, the film Between the Rows, directed by Thomas Stuber, was released. The film was shown at the International Berlin Film Festival, where it received the "Prize of the Ecumenical (Christian) Jury (Competition Program)" and the "Prize of the Guild of the German Art House".
