Born: 01 May 1956, Paris, France French theater and film actress. Catherine Frot was born in the 13th arrondissement of Paris in the family of an engineer and a mathematics teacher. She has a sister, Dominic, who also became an actress. The Fros family comes from Rochefort, Charente-Maritime department. From 1977 to 2001, Catherine's uncle, Jean-Louis Fro, served as mayor of Rochefort. Already as a child, Katrin felt a penchant for theater and fell in love with comedy. At the age of 14, she enrolled in acting courses at the Versailles Conservatory.
