American actor Kevin Delaney Kline was born in the fall of 1947 in St. Louis. His father, a Jew by birth, was passionate about music, was the owner of a bar and a record store, and his mother was an Irish housewife and, as Kevin Kline himself said, she had an incredibly emotional and even dramatic character. Having Jewish-Irish roots, Kevin was raised a Catholic, despite his father's agnosticism. His role in the Oscar-winning drama earns him a Golden Globe nomination and proves to all Hollywood that Kevin has a great dramatic talent.
