Was born on December 29, 1946 in Druzhkovka, Donetsk region. Graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk theater school (1967), the acting department of GITIS im. A. Lunacharsky (1975), directing department of the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts named after I. Karpenko-Kary (1995). He was an actor in theaters in the cities of Sumy, Zaporozhye, Kiev. In cinema since 1992.
People's Artist of Ukraine (2001).
