Was born on March 2, 1940 in Chelyabinsk. In 1965 he graduated from the directing department of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of LGITMiK (workshop of M. Korolev). Since 1966 he worked as a second director at the Lenfilm film studio, since 1993 - stage director.
He passed away on April 17, 2012.
