He spent his youth in Castellammare di Stabia, and at the age of seventeen he began working as a waiter, then at eighteen he moved to Milan. Thus, he began working as a model and actor in television series. After an internship with Susan Strasberg at the Actor's Studio in New York, he studied diction.
His first big break came in 1991 in theater, as the first young actor, director Franco Zeffirelli and Enrico Maria Salerno. Later he began acting on television.
