Born on February 8, 1956.
Hjersti has been involved in theater productions since 1981 and has been on stage continuously since 1992. She has appeared in more than 20 major motion pictures. She is also a famous comedian and has done many comedy shows. Hjersti has received several awards, including the Per Obels Prize of Honor in 1983, the Aase Byes Prize in 1999 and two Norwegian Film Academy Awards - Amanda. One for her role in The Telegraphist in 1993, and the second for Best Actress for Sophie's World and S. O.S. " Most recently, she was involved in the internationally acclaimed film "Max Manus: Man of War".
