Soviet and Russian actor, stuntman and film director Konstantin Butaev was born on October 18, 1949. His hometown is Ordzhonikidze, present-day Vladikavkaz.

Konstantin was educated at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), in the workshop of the legendary S. Bondarchuk and I. Skobtseva. Graduated from the institute in 1977.

First appears in cinema in 1976 in the film It's All About Brother, directed by Valentin Gorlov.

The plot of the picture is very romantic and tragic: the brave young man Khochbar guards the daughter of Nutsap Khunzakhsky, who was given in marriage and is being taken to her fiance. During the journey between Khochbar and the girl, a spark of love lit up.

In general, during his acting career, which, by the way, is still ongoing, Butaev performed more than 80 roles. As a stuntman and director of stunt scenes, Konstantin Nikolaevich has worked even more than 100 films.
