Born June 23, 1980, Stockholm, Sweden - Swedish actor.
Matthias himself did not know Swedish until he went to school. While in high school, Mathias became friends with Gustaf Skarsgard, the son of actor Stellan Skarsgard. It was Stellan Skarsgard who helped young Mathias Varela to embark on the acting path.
Varela began his film career in the early 2000s. The first successful work for a novice actor was the film "Storm". But even greater success was brought to him by films: "Easy Money", "Easy Money: Stockholm Noir" and "Easy Money: A Luxurious Life." Also Matias is known for the TV series "Borgia" and the film "On the Crest of the Wave".
