Melissa George was born in August 1976 in Australia. She began modeling at an early age and was named Western Australian Teen Model of the Year in 1992. At the age of sixteen, she attracted agents who were looking for actors for the new Australian family series Home and Away with her success in the modeling business. Having received a real opportunity to prove herself in a new role as an actress, George left her hometown and settled in Sydney.
