Sofia Giatsintova - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.

Sofushka had an unusually serene childhood: she was born into a family of intelligent and deeply revered nobles. Her family was very large - in addition to her father, a professor, mother and older sister, various relatives always visited Sophia's house - grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. The very same girl, as she was called in the circle of Fufa's loved ones, was everyone's favorite and the center of this large noble house.

Sophia's love for theater came from her father, who was a member of the Shakespearean Society, wrote plays and now and then staged all sorts of amateur performances. He constantly took his daughter to the premieres of the Maly and Bolshoi Theaters, where the girl, enthusiastically watching the acting, fell in love with Sobinov, then with Chaliapin, then with Kachalov. It is not surprising that with age, Sofya Giatsintova expressed a desire to become an actress.

In 1910, Sonya was accepted as an employee at the Art Theater - so she got the opportunity to participate in wordless extras. Then the girl takes acting lessons from Elena Muratova, and later she is accepted to work at the Moscow Art Theater. Here they will call her Violet and almost immediately begin to trust small roles.

The Moscow Art Theater gave the actress great success, and all thanks to the fact that she came here just at the moment when the stars of Chekhov, Vakhtangov, Diky and Birman were rising, who, united in one friendly youth team, frankly conquered the audience with their mighty talent and burst seething innovative ideas. The company instantly became independent, first calling itself the First Studio of the Moscow Art Theater, and then simply the Moscow Art Theater. Here Sofia Giatsintovna played her brilliant roles, gradually becoming the leading artist of this legendary troupe.

In the Moscow Art Theater, the girl found not only the opportunity for self-expression, but also the love of her life: she meets and marries actor Ivan Beresnev. But times changed: very soon the Moscow Art Theater-2 will be accused of ideological incompatibility with the political line of the Communist Party, and in 1936 it will be completely closed.

The tragedy had a strong effect on the actress, for several years she refused to go on stage at all, but already in 1938 it was possible to watch Sofya Giatsinova in the productions of Lenkom, where she will spend more than 40 years. In 1951, Beresnev died, and in 1952 Sonya became the chief director of the theater, staging a huge number of sensational plays. After 4 years, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR.

The girl also starred in the movies. Among her best works are the biographical drama Zhukovsky (1950), the dramas An Unfinished Story (1955) and The Seventh Satellite (1967).

The great actress died in 1982, at the age of 86 - revered and respected by the whole Union.
