Anton Grigoriev is one of the most talented singers-actors of the Soviet Union, the artist's amazing soft voice made any production with his participation unique. The future opera figure was born on January 30, 1926 in Ukraine, the city of Kiev. From an early age, everyone noticed the boy's excellent vocal abilities, he had a high voice, which allowed him to enter the first part of tenors. Since 1951, Grigoriev began cooperation with the Kiev Philharmonic, while continuing his studies at the Kiev Conservatory, where he was taught by the great composer and teacher Taras Mikisha. The artist's talent has been repeatedly confirmed not only by applause from the audience, but also by numerous awards at various competitions. In 1957, Anton became a laureate of the All-Union Competition of Vocalists, received an award for first place at the International Youth Festival in Moscow, and in 1976 he was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. In addition, Grigoriev was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Soviet Union in 1963, and ten years later, in 1973 - the title of national.

The first film with Anton Grigoriev was presented on the big screen in 1959 under the name Khovanshchina, where he played the nobleman Andrei Khovansky. Since 1976, the artist has been teaching courses at GITIS; many of its graduates later became actors at the Bolshoi Theater.

As for his personal life, the singer has been married since 1951 to Irina Falchikova, in which two children were born. The artist died in Moscow, 2001, his ashes were buried at the Vakhtangov cemetery.
