Soviet actress, People's Artist of the RSFSR Valentina Kibardina hails from the Belarusian city of Vitebsk. As a child, Valentina dreamed of performing on stage. After graduating from school in 1924, she came to Petrograd to study acting. When she entered the theatrical institute, Kibardina read the Elephant and Pug Krylov, and also portrayed Olympiada Samsonovna - a character from Ostrovsky's work called Our People - We Will Reckon. The commission liked her speech, and Valentina passed the entrance exams.
In 1929, the artist graduated from the theater studio at Pushkin's LATD. Her graduation project was a production called Teacher Bubus, in which Kybardina portrayed a savage girl. In the same year, Valentina made her debut performance on the professional stage. This happened under the roof of the Leningrad Theater. Soon, Kybardina established herself as a strong actress, capable of playing emotionally complex, charismatic characters.
The first film with Valentina Kibardina was released in 1934. It was the painting Youth of Maxim, the first part of the trilogy. The film debut of the actress turned out to be very bright.
