Sergey Kulagin was born in October 1914 (Moscow). The parents of the future actor were ordinary workers. Sergei, from childhood, was carried away by the theater. After leaving school, he entered the studio at the Central Theater School. The perky, cheerful young man immediately liked all the teachers. In 1936 he finished it safely and stayed to work as an actor in this theater. During the existence of the Central Theater of the Soviet Army, Sergei played more roles than all of his colleagues put together. Kulagin's repertoire was very diverse.
