began her television career with guest roles. In 2007, she appeared in the movie The Hitcher. Since then, she has returned to television, where she has taken on many supporting roles in the series Anti-Terror Squad, Southland, Escape Kings, Nashville, and The Game of Lies.
Martinez was a member of the cast of the short-lived primetime soap opera Hollywood Hills in 2012. In 2013, she began playing one of the main roles in the Amazon comedy series Alpha House. In 2014, she also took on supporting roles in Jane the Virgin and True Detective.
