Born on June 27, 1935 in the village of Argada, Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (now the Republic of Buryatia) .
Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK, Buryat studio, 1969).
From 1970 to 1992 he was an actor at the Lenfilm film studio.
