He began his staging activities as a director of an experimental puppet theater. Director of performances based on the plays of Beckett, Ionesco, Mrozhek and other contemporary playwrights.
Actor and author of plays for the puppet theater. At one time he worked as the chief director of the Leningrad State Bolshoi Puppet Theater.
Screenwriter, writer, co-author of film scripts: "The Creation of Adam" (1993), "Concert for the Rat" (1995) and films staged jointly with E.G. Yufit. Scriptwriter: "Homosapiens", "Ear", "Beauty of the Murab River", "Inside" .
He passed away on June 20, 1998. Buried at the Volkovsky Orthodox cemetery in St. Petersburg.
