People's Artist of Arm. SSR (1966).

He began his creative career in 1928 at the Armenian Traveling Theater. In 1940 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Yerevan University. Since 1930 he worked at the Theater. Sundukyan (Yerevan). He acted in films since 1944.
