Anthony Wong Chau-Sang was born in British Hong Kong on September 2, 1961, the son of an Englishman and a Chinese woman. When little Anthony Perry was 4 years old, his father left his mother. Later, having become a little older, he decided to take his mother's surname - Wong Chau-Sang. In his youth, Anthony was a problem child, possibly traumatized by his father's departure from the family. He constantly quarreled with teachers and did not find a common language with his peers, so at the age of 16 he left school and began to learn what was interesting to him, and young Anthony loved cinema.

Having collected the required amount, he went to courses in the first Hong Kong TV channel, where the roles of Anthony Wong Chau-Sang were mostly bad characters. For 2 years of study, he played in more than twenty television projects. Realizing that he needs to move on, Chau-Sang enters the Academy of Performing Arts in Hong Kong. While studying in his first year, he first appeared in films, in the film Eternal Battle, but the film did not bring much popularity to the actor, although he was nominated at the national film festival in the category of best new actor, but the award did not go to him. After a small defeat, Anthony goes to the theater, realizes that this is not his and in the early 90s returns to cinematographic activity, successfully playing the role of the famous director John Wu in the movie The Tough Boys. In 1993, another film was released with Anthony Wong Chau-Sang - The Untold Story. For his role in this film, the actor received an award at the Hong Kong Film Festival for Best Supporting Actor.

In 1995, Anthony tried himself as a director, making two films - The New Boss and The Best Banana Club, but, unfortunately, the tape was not marked with much success. After an ambiguous reaction from the public and film critics to Wong's films, he decides to return to the acting path, where he successfully plays in all major films in China.

Now the actor is 53 years old, he continues to act in films, in addition to that he became interested in music and has already recorded 4 music discs.
