In 1952 he graduated from the choir school at the Leningrad State Capella, in 1956 - from the Leningrad Theater Institute named after V.I. Ostrovsky (course of B.V. Petrovykh) .
In 1956-1957 - an actor of the Novgorod Drama Theater, in 1958-1965 - a film actor's studio at the "Lenfilm" film studio .
In 1965-1967 - actor of the Leningrad Drama Theater. A.S. Pushkin.
Since 1967 - artist of "Lenkontsert" ("Neva-concert"). In collaboration with G.P. Barkova, he created a theater of pop miniatures "Comics" .
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1994) .
He passed away on August 1, 2000.
