Matthew Marsden was born in 1973 in Welsall, UK. Having survived the departure from the father's family at the age of ten, Matthew and his sister remained to live with their mother.
Tossing between music (during his school years, Matthew played drums in a local band) and football, with which he still could not connect his future life, Mersden turned his attention to the theater and thought about a possible career as an actor. He soon joined the National Youth Theater. However, he still did not lose interest in music - later the musician will release several rather successful singles, and in 1999 his album entitled 'Say Who' will be released.
