French director, producer and screenwriter, born April 18, 1948 in Paris. He was elected to the Academy of Arts in 2007.
In 1972, Regis Wargnier began his career as director of Michel Deville's second La Femme en bleu troupe. He followed further with the paintings "Big Brother" and "Great Pleasure" by Francis Giraud. Later, in 1986, he directed his first film, La Femme de ma vie, which won the Cesar for Best First Work.
