When Larisa was 6 years old, her mother - a classical pianist by profession - received a position in the Ministry of Culture, and Larisa moved with her mother to Moscow.
In 1994 she married a 27-year-old businessman Andrei Chernikov. The husband supported Larisa in her singing career, renting a studio to record his wife's albums. Two years after the wedding on April 3, 1996, her husband was killed.
