Born April 5, 1964.
She graduated from the history faculty of the Volgograd Pedagogical Institute, then the director's workshop of Mikhail Tumanishvili at the VIPPK. She worked on Channel One, the Stolitsa TV channel, and NTV.
She shot her first short film "Chase" in 1994, then there were "Dead Beast", "Not Seeing Each Other". In the series "Islands" Marina made pictures about screenwriters Nadezhda Kozhushana and Valeria Frida. In 2004 she worked on the documentary "Dark Mu". Violence is her first feature-length feature debut.
