Born on June 15, 1974 in Chisinau. In 1989 he took part in the creation of the production group of the independent cinema "Start". Filmed silent short films that took part in festivals in Berlin, Oberhausen, Dresden. In 1996 he graduated from the Moscow University of Culture with a degree in film and TV directing. Debut in a feature-length film - the film "Use before:" (1999), which received a special jury prize in the debut competition of the Kinotavr film festival.
