Guy Ozeri was born on October 3, 1972 in Jerusalem to a Jewish family. He was raised in California and attended Beverly Hills High School. In 2006, he married Brazilian model Michelle Alves, with whom he has four children.
At the age of 19, Guy Oseary joined Maverick Records as an executive and then rose through the ranks to chairman, developing a roster of artists that included The Prodigy, Alanis Morissette, Deftones, Pests, Paul Oakenfold, Michelle Branch, Summercamp and soundtracks for films such as Austin Powers, The Matrix and Kill Bill. Guy Oseary has guided Maverick to sell over 100 million albums worldwide and secured his place as one of the industry's leading boutique labels.
In May 2004, Guy Oseary partnered with Jason Weinberg and Stephanie Simon to become Principal at Untitled Entertainment, a management company with offices in Beverly Hills and New York. In 2005, Oseary became manager for his longtime business partner Madonna and led her through the Confessions Tour (2006), Sticky & Sweet Tour (2008-09) and MDNA Tour (2012), which are some of the highest grossing concert tours of all time. He won Top Manager at the Billboard Touring Awards in 2006 and 2009. In 2007, Guy signed a $ 120 million 360 Partnering deal with Madonna with Live Nation. [9] On November 12, 2013, it was announced that Guy would replace Paula McGuinness as manager of U2 in a $ 30 million deal that will see Live Nation buy both Maverick and U2 in the management company management principle. McGuinness was quoted as saying “I have long considered Guy Oseary the best manager of my generation and there is no one I would consider taking over the day-to-day management of our business.” Oseary is also Amy Schumer's manager.
Guy Oseary is the author of four books, including a book on Jewish influences in the music industry called Jews, Rock. His second book, On Record, is a first-hand collection of how to break through the music industry from many of the most successful artists, producers and performers. He is also the author of two coffee table books with his own photographing of Madonna's 2006 and 2008-09 tours, respectively, entitled "Madonna: Confessions" and "Madonna: Sticky & Sweet."
Guy Oseary, along with Ashton Kutcher and Ronald BURKLE, is the co-founder of A-Grade Investment, a venture capital firm that has made numerous investments in companies such as Airbnb, Foursquare, Shazam, SoundCloud, Spotify and Uber. In 2010 Madonna and Oseary founded the Hard Candy Fitness gym chain. They also partnered with the Iconix Brand Group to launch the lifestyle brand "Truth or Dare Madonna."
Guy Oseary has made cameo appearances in films such as Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Just Go, and Don't Mess with the Zohan. He also made a cameo in Madonna's 1992 music video for her single "Deeper and Deeper", in which he acts as a dancer with an afro wig in a club.
