Born August 25, 1961, Flatwoods, Kentucky, USA - American actor and musician, country music singer.
As a child, the future musician sang in a church choir and, in parallel with this occupation, played the guitar, which his father instilled in him. After graduating from high school, Billy entered Georgetown College and left music for a while, devoting himself to studying and playing baseball.
From 1980 to 1990, Cyrus worked for Mercury Nashville Records, and from the early 1990s he took up his own musical career. His albums were quite popular among Americans: "Some Gave All", "It Won't Be the Last", "Trail of Tears", "Shot Full of Love", "Time Flies", "Wanna Be Your Joe", "Home at Last". It was promoted by Jack McFadden.
In 1999, Billy Ray played his first major film role, starring in the movie Tough Jack. This was followed by a small role in the film by David Lynch "Mulholland Drive". And in 2001, he starred in the TV series Doc, and in 2006, he starred in the TV series Hannah Montana; played in the movie "The Spy Next Door" (2009).
